How do I book?

Online sessions:

Submit a booking form and we’ll get back to you to firm up the booking.

In-person sessions:

Select your required session when completing your group visit booking form.

How much do sessions cost?

Online sessions:

Prices are calculated on a per-class basis:

• £100 per session for one class (up to around 30 students)
• £140 per session for two classes (up to around 60 students)
• £170 per session for three or more classes (up to around 90 students)

In-person sessions:

In-person learning sessions can be booked as part of a facilitated group visit. The price of a facilitated visit + session is £150 plus the admission fee.

Bursary scheme

Eligible schools can now apply to book group visits and/or learning sessions at a discounted rate. See the bursary scheme page for more information.

Bespoke and out-of-hours sessions

Bespoke and out-of-hours sessions are delivered by our staff on a freelance basis. For these sessions there is an additional fee of £70 to cover the facilitator’s additional time and work.

How long are the sessions?

Sessions are 60 minutes long in duration, including:

• An engaging presentation
• Plenty of time for discussion and debate!

Who are the sessions for?

Our online sessions have been devised as an enrichment session for A Level Psychology students but can be tailored for a various different ages and abilities.

We use a flexible format and adjust each session to the age, interests and abilities of each group. Let us know your requirements when you book.

When are the sessions available?

Online sessions are subject to the availability of our education staff.

Our general availability for each session is as follows:

Introducing Freud:	Monday-Friday
Little Hans:	Monday-Friday
Science:	Wednesdays and Fridays
Dreams:	Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays
Schizophrenia:	Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays

Sessions can be delivered between 9am and 5.30pm.

We can sometimes accommodate out-of-hours sessions but there is an additional charge for this.

Do we need to watch as a class or can we join individually from home?

We can cater to whatever is most convenient for you and your students.

How can I make sure my students get the most out of their session?

In our experience sessions run much better if the teacher plays an active role in ‘hosting’ the session, encouraging and fielding questions from the class.

If you’re joining from the classroom it’s helpful for the presenter to be able to see the students on camera but this is not a requirement.

We also tend to find that students are more engaged if they’re able to speak directly to the presenter over the microphone, rather than typing their questions in the chat or having them relayed by the teacher.

What platform do you use?

Sessions can be held on the Freud Museum’s Zoom account but many schools prefer to host them on their own platform (Teams, etc).

How many students can you accommodate in an online session?

In principle there is no limit to the number of students.

The price of a session is calculated on the basis of a single class of up to 30 students, but we aren’t overly strict about this.

What are the technical requirements?

If you’ll be joining all together from a classroom you’ll need a computer in the classroom with a microphone (and preferably a camera) and an internet connection. The computer should be connected to a screen and speakers.

If you’ll be joining individually from home, each attendee will need a laptop, tablet or smartphone. A camera is recommended but there is no requirement for students to activate their cameras.
