This is the third event in a new series of evenings at the Freud Museum titled Provocations, or Difficult Conversations in the Home of the Talking Cure. In-house only.
As the great M F K Fisher once wrote, food is a proxy for many other longings besides hunger. In this event Rachel Cooke, the author of Kitchen Person: Notes on Cooking and Eating, and Bee Wilson, whose latest book is The Secret of Cooking: Recipes for an Easier Life in the Kitchen, explore both the emotional role food plays in our lives and the connections to be found between what we like (or don’t like) to eat and our sense of identity.
“Bee Wilson is the ultimate food scholar.” Yotam Ottolenghi
