Mexican artist Santiago Borja made an artist intervention in Freud’s study in 2010. Titled Divan: Free-Floating Attention Piece, this installation replaced the Q’ashqai rugs on Freud’s infamous couch with woven tapestries that Borja produced with some members of the rural Wixárika, or Huichol, community in Mexico.
