Interview with artist Santiago Borja

Learning more from our major exhibition, 'Freud and Latin America.'

Mexican artist Santiago Borja made an artist intervention in Freud’s study in 2010. Titled Divan: Free-Floating Attention Piece, this installation replaced the Q’ashqai rugs on Freud’s infamous couch with woven tapestries that Borja produced with some members of the rural Wixárika, or Huichol, community in Mexico. You can read the interview between Freud and Latin America‘s curator, Jamie Ruers and the artist as they reflect on the project over a decade later.

INTERVIEW COMING SOON.
