Freud Museum Shop Christmas Ad 2022
Our annual Freud Museum Shop Christmas video has arrived! In this year’s instalment, our hero, the Little Thinker – inspired by the great Lucian Freud and the divine Eros – sets out to paint an accurate self-portrait. He asks our collection of replicas for their approval and after a couple of mishaps – having tried to imitate other artists’ depictions of himself – he turns the attention inwards towards his own mirror reflection. Now, fully in touch with his innermost creative desire, he finally succeeds and is applauded by his excited friends.
This year our Christmas video was inspired by our current exhibition Lucian Freud: The Painter and his Family, and was produced by our Photographer and Digital Media Producer Karolina Heller, and our Shop Supervisor Martin Bladh.
