Please note: This event is taking place in person at the Freud Museum, with Covid-safe restrictions in place (mask-wearing, social distancing, and ventilated spaces). It will be taking place on the first floor of the Museum and unfortunately this is not wheelchair accessible at this time.

The Wolf Man’s dream is one of the most famous dreams in the history of psychoanalysis.

In this participatory half-day workshop we will illuminate Freud’s theory of dreams and his method for interpreting them, and apply his approach to one of the most famous dreams in the history of psychoanalysis.

Through a series of illuminating examples we will closely follow how Freud builds his argument in The Interpretation of Dreams, before taking on the harrowing childhood nightmare of Sergei Pankejeff, whose analysis with Freud was written up under the pseudonym ‘Wolf Man’.

  • Introduction to the case of the Wolf Man

No prior knowledge is required.
