Happy Birthday, Anna Freud!
A fabulous morning of coffee, cake, and personal memories of Anna.
Join our Director Giuseppe Albano and special guest Gina Da Silva in celebrating Anna Freud’s birthday anniversary in the dining room filled with Anna’s beloved painted furniture.
Enjoy delicious Viennese coffee and the fabulous Sachertorte, “the queen of Austrian cakes”, and hear from Gina, who met Anna Freud personally and will share her memories from attending her nursery in Maresfield Gardens.
You also have the opportunity to view our critically acclaimed current exhibition, Tracing Freud on the Acropolis, which explores Freud’s visit to the ancient Greek citadel, which had occupied his thoughts since childhood, and the strange feelings it caused at the time and for many years after.
You are most welcome to continue to browse the Museum and Gift Shop at your leisure when we open to the public at 10.30am.
