This tour traces the remarkable life and work of Lou Andreas-Salomé, from her influence on Nietzsche, through her relationship with Rilke, to her exploration of psychoanalysis under Freud. We will discuss Lou’s profound notions of female sexuality and learn why Freud was so impressed by the ‘genuineness and harmony of her nature’.
