Moments of clarity are rare and fleeting; how can we become comfortable outside of them?

Author, Emily Ogden’s latest publication, On Not Knowing: How to Love and Other Essays (2022, Peninsula Press) illuminates the crucial role that uncertainty plays in our lives. From giving birth, to loving, listening and having a one-night stand, her essays celebrate the defenselessness of not knowing yet – or possibly not knowing ever.

The discussion will be guided by psychoanalyst and author, Josh Cohen. Cohen’s publications explore themes such as privacy, working, humility and loss, that will provide a thoughtful accompaniment to Ogden’s investigations into the unpredictability of life.
