In Anna Freud’s final will & testament, it was her wish to make her family home at 20 Maresfield Gardens a site to preserve and conserve her father’s incredible legacy. This year marks the 32nd anniversary since the Freud Museum opened, coinciding with the 80th anniversary since the Freuds arrival in London from Nazi occupied Austria.
We will hold three tours throughout the day, led by different speakers each highlighting a unique aspect of the Museum and the Freud family. Our summer exhibition Leaving Today: The Freuds in Exile 1938 provides the backdrop for this year’s anniversary commemorations.
1.30pm – House Tour with a member of our Education Team
2.30pm – Freuds’ Escape to England with Bernard Glicksman
3.30pm – Anna Freud Special House Tour with Anne Hollinger
All tours are included with your admission ticket to the Museum, so there’s no need to book!
