Free – £9

Freud Museum London (FML) and Camden Arts Centre (CAC) will open late to enable visits to both of their exhibitions in one night: Wunderblock, by Emma Smith, at FML, and Grace Pailthorpe and Ruben Mednikoff at CAC. The two venues are just a short walk apart.

Wunderblock is an exhibition of new work by artist Emma Smith, drawing on original historical research into the post-war fascination with the infant mind. Grace Pailthorpe and Ruben Mednikoff introduces the British surrealists who formed a fascinating and unsettling partnership. All three artists were strongly influenced by psychoanalysis and psychoanalytic history in the making of their work.

Drop-in tours of the exhibitions will also be held at the following times:

6pm: Camden Arts Centre tour by Gina Buenfeld, Grace Pailthorpe and Ruben Mednikoff curator

7pm: Freud Museum London tour by Rachel Fleming-Mulford, Wunderblock curator

Please note, standard ticket prices apply for entry to Freud Museum London.

Wunderblock is commissioned by Birkbeck, University of London for the Hidden Persuaders Project, funded by the Wellcome Trust Public Engagement Fund.
