Curating Freud’s Antiquity: Object, Idea, Desire

This online conference, in conjunction with our current exhibition and digital archive Freud’s Antiquity: Object, Idea, Desire, will examine the relationship between Freud’s collection of antiquities and his development of the concepts and methods of psychoanalysis.

Taking the exhibition and the digital archive as a starting point, the conference will also explore aspects of curating in different contexts, the status of the ‘object’ in the digital age, and the potential for developing new modes of curatorial practice.
