200 Years of Self-Confidence , 2022
Wai Sze Clark-Burton
It means diligence, cherishing time, and taking night as white, so that you have two lifetimes of time.
The meaning presented in the poem is that if you can really live to two hundred years old, maybe you can also draw three thousand miles of water. Everyone’s life time is very precious, you have to be diligent, everyone must cherish time, and night is the sky, so you have two lives of time. It is impossible for modern people to live to two hundred years old, but the poet’s exaggeration is limited, and it is also artistic exaggeration within the allowable range, giving people a feeling of longevity and hope for life.
