Sigmund Freud archive

Press cutting - Freud's influence is dangerous

The Sigmund Freud archive catalogues around 10,000 letters and 1,600 documents related to the life and work of Sigmund Freud.

A further 1,600 press cuttings from 1926 to 1939 will be added shortly.

Anna Freud archive

The Anna Freud archive includes letters, documents, press cuttings and ephemera, and spans Anna Freud’s lifetime (1895-1982).

Sándor Ferenczi archive

The Ferenczi archive contains documents related to the life and work of Sándor Ferenczi, including letters, notebooks, and his famous clinical diary.

The archive was entrusted to the museum by Dr Judith Dupont, psychoanalyst and literary representative for Ferenczi’s works.

Photo collection

The photo archives include rare historic photographs of Sigmund Freud, his family and colleagues.

Images from the photo library and of the house and collections can be licensed for publication and/or broadcast. Please refer to our image licensing section for more information.

The archives are open to serious research requests. Documents may be consulted on-site, by appointment only.
