The Freud Museum

Prints

These are Freud's collection of photographic prints, mementoes of holidays in Italy, many of them depicting Italian scenes or works by old masters.

They are monochrome photographic prints mounted on card. Most have no provenance. Some bear attributions to Alinari. Many originate from a folder of reproductions of works from the Kaiserliche Gemaelde Galerie, Vienna. There is another large folder of sketches by Leonardo da Vinci, produced ca. 1910 by Braun & Cie.

Below a selection of the prints can be browsed.
