The Museum will be closed on Easter Friday 29 March and Easter Sunday 31 March. We are open as usual on Saturday 30 March.

Psychosis Conference to be Livestreamed!

Our upcoming conference on Psychosis and Psychoanalysis will be broadcast LIVE via a video stream.

For the first time in Freud Museum history, we’ll be broadcasting a live video stream of one of our conferences.

Our upcoming conference on Psychosis and Psychoanalysis (29 September, 09:00 – 17:00 BST) brings together an international panel of eminent clinicians and theoreticians to discuss the promises and pitfalls of psychoanalytic engagement with psychosis.

“The Psychosis Therapy Project operates on a shoestring budget and substantial long-term funding is very hard to get.”Dorothée Bonnigal-Katz, PTP Clinical Director

The event is a fundraiser for the Psychosis Therapy Project, a low-cost therapy service with a psychoanalytic orientation.

A live video stream can be accessed in exchange for a donation to the PTP (this can be made on the  booking page).

Donors will also receive exclusive access to the recording after the event.

As a museum of international renown, we are always looking for innovative ways to connect to our global audience. Thanks to new digital technologies, even small organisations like ours can now stream content at relatively low cost.

As well as supporting the work of the PTP, we hope this livestream will mark an important step forward as we turn to the digital sphere to carry out or mission of promoting the intellectual and cultural legacies of Sigmund and Anna Freud for the learning and enjoyment of all.
