Sigmund Freud

  • Neurosis as a personal religion
  • Religion as a collective neurosis
  • Freud’s response to the arguments for the existence of God
  • His views on conscience
  • Is atheism psychologically possible?

‘Freud and Religion’ has been devised as an enrichment session for students taking A Levels in Religious Studies or Philosophy, but can be tailored for KS4 and HE students, either as an introduction to the topic or to consolidate classroom learning.
